Virtual Teacher's Day Celebration 2025
In India, Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year on 5th September to honour the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping individuals, society, and the nation at large. The date marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (1888–1975), an eminent philosopher, teacher, and the second President of India. When his students once requested to celebrate his birthday, he humbly suggested that the day be observed instead as Teacher’s Day—a day dedicated to recognizing the role of teachers in nurturing minds and fostering the spirit of knowledge.
The occasion carries profound cultural and educational significance. It is not merely a ritual celebration but a reminder of the transformative power of education and the selfless dedication of teachers. In contemporary times, when teaching has extended beyond the physical classroom into digital platforms, the observance of Teacher’s Day also reflects how educators adapt and innovate in their methods of sharing knowledge.
